If you think you are too injured to get chiropractic treatment for lower back pain, think about what caused it.  The causes that create problems in the lower back or the pelvic area that create pain are what chiropractors call the vertebral subluxation complex.  There are three categories that fit under the vertebral subluxation complex, and they include: physical, chemical, and emotional.  These categories are all types of stress.

  • Physical Stress-  Anything you do such as: lifting, pushing, pulling, playing a sport, or even mountain climbing. Car accidents and injuries are physical stressors.  So really anything that applies physical pressure or forces on the body.
  • Chemical Stress-  Chemical stress can be different things that we ingest from our diet. If you drink a lot of soda or coffee, all of that caffeine has an effect on our system and how that plays out and can affect how our body works.
  • Emotional Stress-  It may be the work that we do or the relationships that we have. Whatever the case may be, emotional stress is something that effects everybody on a regular basis. Emotional stress weighs heavily on the body and the lower back is definitely part of that as well.

Chiropractic Treatment Helps Injuries

When you are injured, depending on the injury and where, it is likely to visit your chiropractor for help.  The most common areas of concern chiropractors treat are:  back injuries, car accident injuries, spinal injuries, sports injuries, sciatica, neck pain/injury, chronic pain, herniated discs, and subluxation.  If you have been injured, seeing a chiropractor right away can help restore movement and help you heal faster!
